You know most sequels are better than their prequels? Morrowind had lots of factions and secrets. Morrowind also had waaaay better character customization like separate glove and paulderans, clothes underneath armor ect. Waaaay more weapon types and armor types and spells. It also had more to do and a way better story. At the cost of performance.
Skyrim is newer and way better looking it also runs better!(woopdee doo!) it alsO has better face customization (woopdee doo!) less weapons and armore "broken" crafting systems way less customization even more less weapons. Bad story, more forgiving and dragons! Woooooo...

Who else thinks skyrim isn't a proper sequel?
