Basically yes ,Microsoft,Time Warner,TenCent,Kohlberg Kravis Roberts,Providence Equity Partners(witch also fund ZeniMax btw lol) and Blackstone are all potential buyers.Note the other 3 i mentioned are not in the article,they are mentioned here,in the original source:

Though it would hilarious if Microsoft does buy them, then well COD will be an Xbox exclusive for life,same with WoW maybe.

My thoughts on this:

Bungie broke away from Microsoft after Halo 3, giving up the rights to the Halo series as a result.
In 2010, after Halo: Reach came out, Bungie was completely done with the Halo series, and went on to start a new series/IP/we don't know yet.
Bungie then signed a deal with Activision, so that their next games would be published by the latter.

So if Activision is bought out by Microsoft, then it looks like Bungie is going to be working under MS again.

Life sure is funny that way.
