ONDOLEMAR - what is to come

Post » Mon Jul 23, 2012 2:03 am

Ondolemar pretty much spills the beans on what is coming during Elenwen's party.

He tells you that the Great War is not over yet. The White Concordat peace treaty is just a pause.

A lot of fertile ground for DLC if you ask me.

I wanted to Ro Da he and his ambassador back to Somerset Isle after listening to that threat.

Yeah, I am expecting a future confrontation with the Thalmor. My only reason for thinking it might not happen is because having two different war questlines might be redundant.

I assure you we will be getting a dlc about the great war, they wouldn't leave that part unattended.

Not unless it is done right.

I think the first two DLCs (Dawnguard including) will revolve around features that players have wanted for a while (enhanced vampires, werewolves, and dragonbone weapons have been wanted for a while and Dawnguard delivered), and once those are done it could add more global content like a great war with the Thalmor.

With this DLC I could see that maybe the Thalmor took the Imperial City, and you have to visit it and try to take it back; maybe with the possibiltiy of having the dark brotherhood's plot actually matter, and show the new emperor (or Titus Mede II if the player didn't do that)

It could play into the Civilwar quest. The invasion going differently depending on how the Civilwar happen. Either Stormcloaks winning, Imperials winning or the Civilwar still going on will effect the Thelmor invasion. Could be cool.

Remember that Altmer live much longer than men and their timescales are also much longer. He could be talking centuries in the future.

It isn't just him that mentions it as Tulius does as well when finishing the Civil War for the Legion.

I never heard this quote, as he has this unfortunate tendency to die when I first see him in Markarth. Some call it murder, but no murderer is ever found. Think the fella is just a klutz.

Yea, that little party is a good place to soak up information about the current state of things :)

Also i like it that almost everyone dislikes the thalmor, to varying degrees. And they're quite subtle about it in some cases.
