So I was playing Oblivion yesterday and I noticed something... During the Knights of the Nine questline (I think...) You come across a ghost called Lord Berich Vlindrel. "Gosh, that sounds familiar" I said and after a few minutes I realized that he shares his name with the Markarth home in Skyrim, Vlindrel Hall. Is there any connection between the Lord and the House? Or is it simply Bethesda reusing names?

There are many old and venerable family names in Tamriel. There are several manors and farms that have the same names as great houses in Vvardenfell. It is not so much reusing names, but it's more illustrating the breadth of influence these families have.
