To the Vampires of Skyrim.

Post » Wed Jul 25, 2012 6:10 am

Hello, I have a small question to those who play/ roleplay vampires.

Excluding the limited mechanics of Skyrim at the moment, what would be your ideal hunting method?

Do you like sneaking into victim's homes and leeching off of them while they sleep? Would you prefer being able to feed off of defeated enemies in battle?

Would you like to use magic to immobilize your victim before feeding? Would sneaking up on a victim then ripping their throat out be a better solution to you?

Would you prefer to entice your victims into voluntarily allowing you to feed on them?

Interested in hearing your thoughts.

I just stand next to a road and wait for prey. Or I'll just transform into a vampire lord and go on a country side killing spree.

I like the seduction method that was added. You can just feed whenever you want. I think it was added in Dawnguard.

Why I am excited for Dawnguard, whenever it comes out for PC.

The thought just crossed my mind when I was thinking about the vampirism that was implemented back in Morrowind.

What I would like is a mechanic that made you stronger the more you fed. Not this ass backwards [censored] gamesas likes to use.

I like to either just paralyze them before feeding or just use vampiric seduction it's pretty simple.

I agree with you Xarathox, would be nice to have some change along the way of remaining a Vampire.

@BloodBrandon I would have liked a method that involves a little more of a struggle, but that sounds good as well.

Feeding becomes tedious quickly when playing a vampire character. It would be cool if they added the "Power Bite" as a kill cam when in regular vampire form and not just the Vampire Lord

Ah well then i would have to say the challenge of sneaking into a town was a good strategy. I used to use that as it gave a chance to get caught and gave a reason to utilize the illusion bonus. I guess it's sort of become too easy now with dawnguard installed might reuse the sneak strategy for old times sake next time i play.

I generally sneak into their houses, but I do sometimes use seduction.

This. Not sure why they kept the sleeping victim requirement.

Like I said though, would have been neat to at least have a few options when it came to feeding. After all, after the perks and weaknesses, is not feeding why we become vampires? To be the night stalkers of man?

Well I am currently using a mod that gives the the option to reverse feed as a vampire so you are strong when you are fed and weak if you don't. Plus it adds the option to feed off recently dead bodies I think vampires can feed on recently dead bodies I mean you see body parts all over the place in their caves and they do try to kill you and most likely feed on you when you die.

I would like that too. I mean I you don't really have a reason to feed anymore since they took away stage 4 hostility. But for roleplay reasons I prefer using vampire's seduction and feed on awake enemies. Or just go VL on them.

This is the reason why I got the game on the PC you heard of the better vampire overhaul? He gives you incentive to feed since based on the number of people you feed on and you current level you go up in rank and get a better passive where your destruction spells cost less and various other things. Plus if you feed twice on a person it kills them which is awesome. Fed on about 220 people so far my character can turn into mist and move faster and loads of other powers.

I know you have an xbox but read up on it the mod is really awesome.

He added various options as well slight sun damage, no sun damage, hardcoe sun damage, reverse feeding, normal feeding and lots of other stuff.
