Tutorial on piecing together different armors?

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 9:03 pm

Lots of the new armor mods I have been seeing appear to be a patchwork mesh made up of different vanilla resources. I would like to try my hand at making a custom armor in this fashion but I'm not really sure how it works. I believe I've seen a tutorial on someone who made a custom armor but I'm having trouble finding it.

Also, I am not totally in the dark, I know how to use NifSkope, 3DS Max, NIF importer and exporters and the CK, I just need to know the proper techniques so that I can maintain the properties of the original mesh data when I merge it with another component.

I remembered this thread: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1387359-help-with-combining-armor/page__p__21083632__hl__armor%20mesh__fromsearch__1#entry21083632
and in particular, this link http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19249
Hope that helps!

No problem :D
I get to reap the benefit of the finished mod. Definitely the easy way to get nice new armours!
