Now for the basics. If you are unfamiliar with, or would like to know more about the DID playstyle. Please visit the http://graveyard.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_is_Dead:_A_gaming_playstyle_choice page, in the http://graveyard.wikia.com/wiki/The_Graveyard_-_A_Dead_Is_Dead_gamplay_site_Wiki.

Just one rule...Dead is Dead.

1) When your character falls in battle or falls from a cliff, that's it. They are dead. Game over. No reloads. Feel free to restart, ( at the cave exit ) with the ole "I or II", after their names. If you so choose.

*Exception*
...If your character falls due to a glitch, the game locks up or due to any outside action and/or distraction ( kids / pets / mother-in-law ) at no fault from the player. No shame will fall upon you to revert to a previous save.

NOTE : Difficulty has no bearing in DID. It should be set, according the comfort of the player. Pending things like character build, roleplay, limits, mods, and experience, this can easily vary among players.


If you want to try a run, feel free to list your new characters, with a backstory if you like. As well as, their starting stats and limitations. Update your progress. Much like the "Where are you now", thread. It's really not any different from most of your guy's/gal's playstyle...aside from the dead and done part.

When and if that happens, post their name, date of passing and any info you want to reflect on their tomb. I will list them in the OP, so they will be forever remembered.

NOTE : You must start a new character, in the thread, for them to be eligible for the Skyrim Memorial.

Player Tomb Listings :

1) I will list the players in alphabetical order.

2) The graves, of your fallen characters, will be added to your Tomb.

3) Any info on your char will be added, to their grave, according to your post.

4) Each character's grave will be limited, to 7 lines of info, for simplicity and unity. I will be more than happy, to tie a link to your character's name for pics and stats.

5) The Tombs will have a heading, with the players user name.


*NOTICE*
...With regards to the memorial...If you commit to a DID, your character dies and you post " My dude died, on such and such, but I'm going to continue playing him/her", OR you play with a varied version, like restarting from a "half-way point". That is NOT Dead Is Dead and you will NOT get added to the graveyard. This prompted a lot of frowns and nasty comments, in the other forum. So, we can prevent this before it happens.

Here's another update, but this time from the view of Corpulus Vinius the owner of the Winking Skeever.

Calvario has come to the bar every night since his return from Riverwood and nearly drinks himself to the point of passing out. Something must be wrong, before this he has only come in for a pint or two, and to tell tales of his adventures. He still tells his tales, though while in a stupor, I do recall him telling of a nightmare he had not too long ago; something about his family who had been murdered a few years after coming to Skyrim, something about that makes me wonder if it was just bandits that had a hand in his families murder. I will have listen to him more closely when he talks about them in order to determine what or who is responsible for his plight.

Oh... Well, while unintended, it draws one's gaze to his glorious name haha

I wonder if Calvario will ever catch a break. It seems he always gets the bad side of things.

Yeah it does seem that way, if he continues to survive his perilous journeys Vinius may be able uncover the truth, and Calvario might get his true chance for revenge.

Or he might die of alcohol poisoning. If you ever grow bored of him, I could see that as an RP way to retire him. Or he might die before getting revenge. Being hammered is not exactly good if you are on the battlefield.

That or him going insane and using the beast form in the center of town only to be shot to death by the guards.

Quick update on Hroda: She's level 12 now and nearly got killed while going to a cave in Eastmarch. It was a conjurer cave and things were going well enough until she seemed to alert the hive, and suddenly all of the conjurers and flame atronachs rushed at her. She killed all the conjurers with the atronachs still alive, but she ran out of potions so she had to dip into her cooking reserve. She hopes that eating 47 carrots in one sitting doesn't sound unrealistic. She decided to travel to Solitude to check out some of her old friends (and maybe get some questing in too)

I think she's cracked as far as 'avoiding guilds like the plague' is going. She's thinking of joining the Bard's College while she's there, because, why not?

I am totaly into this. I shal make a reptile character named M'bukumakalui. I am getting on that now and will update his progress in this thread. Do I need to post ss or anything? I think I'll start on an easier difficulty setting. I am kind of into my current High-Elf mage but I bet Lui gets a good amount of playtime. BTW, I just bought this game and it is very awesome. It came with Fallout: New Vegas so I'll start that game tonight once the download finishes. I may just jump right into the DiD playstyle there.
