Man, i miss stuff

Post » Fri Jul 27, 2012 7:23 pm

I'm stuck with vanilla skyrim on a console.

I miss enemy variety, i mean how many bears can live within the same vicinity?

I miss conjuration variety, they don't even let you summon a dragon priest!

I miss spellmaking, i remember making an epic spell called elemental blast in oblivion which was so much fun to cast because it was my own.

I miss the warm atmosphere from oblivion and the sense of foreign wonder in morrowind. Maybe skyrim is just too rugged all the time, give us a green prairie!

I miss the guilds, i know they kept all of them but they just aren't as enthralling as they were. The quests just felt like they had more meaning and depth.

Skyrim is still a great game but, dang, iunno, maybe they forgot to give it some heart. Maybe nostalgia haunts me.

Skryim definitely has a different feel than Oblivion, but some of it is nice in my opinion. I love the rugged landscape and think it fits the setting perfectly. Skyrim is much more vertical than Oblivion and makes exploring tons of fun. The guild quests could use some more back story and they all felt way to short. The guild side quests are fun at first but quicly get boring.

the guilds were the biggest disappointment. I liked being able to go to every city and stop in to the local Fighters' Guild and Mages Guild buildings. It gave me a sense of belonging in Oblivion.

I thought for sure when they said spellmaking was out we were going to get something like scroll making and possibly staff crafting. I mean the items that can be used to make it are even there, lol. Would have been cool.

I've been wishing for staff crafting for a long time!! I can't believe they didn't include that at the enchanting tables.

Imagine what the next game will be like. Weapons will be 'sword' or 'not sword'. There will be only destruction and restoration and Argonians are out. It will be 60gb of amazing graphics and physics but written by six graders playing madlibs.
You have to travel to a ... cave! and find a .... magic boot and give it to a .... guard in the castle!
okay now you go.

I agree at some points.
I really loved these peaceful morning around the Imperial City , unforgettable.

I loved that the recommendations to the Mages Guild took so long , I never actually got to the part of joining the guild.
In the College of Winterhold I actually worked out something like that.

The guilds are very short I agree.
The lack of spells is somewhat sad , but I still love the new magic system.

And yes , the difference of landscape , culture and life in Skyrim is very different , but I love it very much.

The world of Skyrim is beautiful and exploration and discovery are the best of any game. But I've never had to work so hard to actually Role-play in a RPG in all my life.

Everything is so vanilla;
Spoiler
The races have little differences, Anybody can join all guilds regardless of skills and other guild memberships, Being forced to be a WW or servant of Noc, etc. when I really don't want to but have to in order to finish the guild quests, and etc. and so on.

Imagine if they had advertised those points on the box:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

-Fight up to 16 different kinds of enemies!

-Conjure up and control up to four different kinds of summons!

-Cast magic with over 30 different spells to harness!

-Enjoy Skyrim's vivid scenery: autumn forests, rocky terrain, fields, ice tundra and mountains!

-Experience up to 7 hours worth of Guild Content across four seperate guilds!

[censored], they should hire me onto their marketing department. They would've sold billions with me.
