How do you feel about http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/07/27/bethesda-on-dawnguard-pc-we-have-not-announced-dawnguard-for-any-other-platform/?

Dawnguard is surely coming to PC, though, right? “I was simply stating that expecting/demanding something today is unfounded. Not that news is never coming,” said Hines

“Sometimes it’s better to say nothing until you can provide solid info than say something before you can,” he adds.

Why do special deals for consoles even exist? It punishes the fan base, favouring one type of fan base for another.
When in the end, we are all playing Skyrim on our favorite platform and we get punished for it.

I think that regardless of what is corrected that the quote will storm around the internet and continue to be misinterpreted as saying its not coming for those platforms (because it is easily misinterpreted as saying that). It makes me wonder if their PR department has even the slightest clue how to talk to a gaming community much less one involving such an already volatile situation.

I read that to but don't think they will announce that they are not releasing it. I think anytime between August to September. Several sources say third quarter.

Basically this.

I'm no PR expert, but you just don't say "We might not give you DLC!".

I just don't understand the wait. Surely it wouldn't have been that hard to time a dual-platform release after the exclusive, would it?

Hah Pc players gets mods, Xbox players get the most stable (at start without modding) version and exclusives, the ones we should be feeling for is the PS3 players.

Three platforms it is madness! Give them a break they will release it soon.

Yes I feel for PS3 the orphan child left behind. Truely sad!

in b4 lock.
It's a huge miscalculation on Bethesda's part. I would have paid full price if I could have pre-ordered it on Steam, now I'm not sure I really care anymore. If Steam sells a DLC bundle for $5 or so around Christmas or next summer, maybe I'll reconsider. Right about now I'm contemplating just uninstalling Skyrim and getting on with my life. There are plenty of other games out there.

Pretty much, while I was and am fully aware that the DLC is likely coming in mid august, the complete inability to talk to the community in a non-robotic way is jarring to say the least; not to mention that when posting an official statement on such a hot-button issue you'd think someone in PR would proofread what he's saying

While true there were better ways to go about it,

Like I posted in another thread, Speaking in any official capacity to a gaming community is like trying to cross a lake on thin ice filled with depth charges. You may lose a limb but there are ways to get across alive.

You can't be serious! As a PC user you have loads of mods and access to cheats. On console, I cannot revive NPC I accidently killed, I can't wallhack, fly, have fancy mods nor I can fix that GAAAH... Range issue with longbows, by not being able to hit anything further then 70 yards, because it doesn't load above that. All those things you have in PC, and yet you complain about consoles being favourited by Bethesda? Please get serious!
