Today i loaded up the Midas magic mod. I was floored by the amount of extra spells with some being ones i do not use.

First question to the forums : Do you yourself use Midas magic or any other magic mods to play skyrim ?
I played with it for three hours but really i'm not sure if it's something i would use long term.


Second : In the middle of a quest i had an instance where skyrim just closed...(i have no clue why). Loaded the game back up and the mod was still running but all my spells had dissapeared and it seems that the mod basically restarted itself. Is this something that happens often with these kinds of mods as i have not had this problem and i am currently running 30 other mods (mainly graphics, a follower, a house, a sword, nothing to crazy).

I wouldn't use Midas Spells. If I'm not mistaken the mod author has got into the Tytanis Team and is not updating it anymore. It's a shame because his Oblivion version was very interesting. (The mod may as well be plagued with TES5snip corruption, be careful with some outdated mods!)

I'm currently using Apocalypses Spells (Most are useful. The only problem are some balance issues if you only play with Vanilla enemies and things like that) and the incredible Revenge of Collete (No complains from me. Useful spells and interesting mechanics)

About your second problem... It never happened to me. You should carefully look at your mods and see if the old dated ones may be causing it.

I use Apocalypse Spell Pack, Conjuration revamp and Colette's Revenge. Magic has never been better.

I also use Apocalypse and Skyirm Spells and Powers by WarriorKeke, which is currently my favorite. Being able to "force grip" people and toss them around is immensely satisfying.
