or something at least once per day. the game exits to desktop and to the right of the skyrim game it says downloading 0% and slowly makes its way to 100% At which time i can play again.
I do not want Steam to install updaTES while I am playing or before I say ok. I submitted a ticket to Steam a week ago but they still have not replied to a support ticket I sent 2 months ago.
Can anyone please help me resolve this issue? I lose all data after the last time I saved and that is very annoying.

That's Steam Cloud. You can disable that in the Properties window for Skyrim in the Steam Library screen.
