It's history. It's adolescence. It's life. It makes sense that one group is seeking to get out from under the control of another group - they are trying to separate and declare their independence. No shame there. It was why I supported the Stormcloaks my first couple of playthroughs. There's an appeal to rebellion and establishing an independent state - a lot of us felt the same way as teenagers - it's like, leave me alone, get the **** off my case, and let me do it my way. Hell, it's how growth and change occur - break down the old and make way for the new. It's not always for the better in the end, but it's an important part of the journey. Question authority! Unfortunately, IMO, too many people just go with the flow, conform, and accept what they are fed by their governments and the media. People become sheep. Fear keeps people down; it takes a lot of courage to stand up and separate yourself from the herd. Unfortunately, in this game, the rebels are led by a racist of sorts (IMO) and that kinda kills the whole vibe I was trying to ride, but that topic's been beaten to death on these boards, so again, it's just my opinion...
