In Oblivion, I had a character that I loved and whose playstyle I really enjoyed. He was a necromancer/assassin and was just a blast to play with. In Skyrim however, just can't find the character and playstyle that suits me best.
I want a character that can be my main character. This means I definetly want to create his own story and make it fit to the questlines he does. Im a big roleplayer.
What I've been a big fan of in Oblivion was the Dark Brotherhood. But in Skyrim, I can't really find a good reason for my character to join them. In Oblivion, it was because he wanted to ally with Sithis so that he sends him back the souls of the people he loved and that died. In Skyrim, I don't wanna do the same thing again because thats the story of the Oblivion character. My new one has to have a unique story himself.
So I created this face which I really like:

But now Im stuck and I can't seem to get started. Firstly for playstyle. My ideas:
- A knight / crusader kind of character. The problem here: Ive never played a warrior-type character in Skyrim with the reasoning behind this being that I think they are too one-dimensional to play as. There doesn't seem to be much options despite bashing and blocking. Sure you can add some archery gameplay, but still. And for magic, illusion, conjuration wouldnt fit this kind of character, alteration is unnecessary, and destruction is not needed with bow as ranged weapon. AND look at her: Can you imagine her being a strong knight that can defeat big undead monsters in melee combat?
Still, I like the looks of the heavy armors in the game, especially the female ones. And I have this idea in the back of my head of her restoring the Knights of the Nine order.
But another thing would be that she can't join the Brotherhood because I can't find reasons for this. Maybe she's a knight of Sithis but why? And this would again take out the KotN idea. Hmm..
- A mage. But I played one recently and the combat was fun, but it just got boring as the spells I got from adept on were actually worse than what I had (costing much more mana for a small extra effect) and I had no loot I could find because I didnt need weapons and armor.
- A thief. But while sneaking around can be fun at the beginning I know it will turn out to be overpowered and boring as one progresses.
Maybe it has to be a mixture of them. But I just can't seem to get this right. Heres again everything I would like to have (Im just writing down the single points, not thinking about whether they fit together):
- I wanna be a dark brotherhood member and devout worshipper of Sithis
- I want the character to be morally good, yet Im still interested in everything shady
- I want to restore the Knights of the Nine order
- I want her to be a righteous knight yet I want to use the sneak mechanics, which doesn't fit because of alignment and heavy armor (unrealistic?)
- I want a realistic medieval character, that'd mean no magic, but I think magic is needed to enhance gameplay
- I want to have the main quest as the questline that will be finished last when Im strongest
- I'm still lured by conjuration but I realized summons are not really improving my gameplay besides making it easier
- Attached to nature
- Very religious character, but I kind of want everything: The Divines for the knights of the nine revival, Sithis because it just feels right to me, and the Daedra because they're cool...
- I need an overarching unique story besides quests that keep me busy and that really give me a goal to work towards
----> One goal could be the restoration of the Knights of the Nine order. And maybe finding the relicts. But why would she wanna do that (her ancestor having been the crusader?)? Also, its conflicting with the (spoiler to main quest - not too far in though)
Spoiler
restoration of the blades that are also a group of knights.
Can you somehow help me? Any ideas, proposals, encouragements?
