I have 2-GTX 550 ti (2GB each) in sli mode and activated
3.4 ghz cpu
12 GB of ram
all my drivers have been updated

When i start skyrim, it turns to a black screen after i hit play and carshed saying the "skyrim stopped working" pop up. I am currently running windows 7 and ive tried reinstalling (rather than unistalling first and installing again) I have also degraged the game and verifyed the integrity of the game. One thing i noticed is that it loads TESTV rather than the launcher itself. Is this normal? I have also changed my audio settings too

I suggest that you uninstall the game and manually delete everything in the Skyrim directory (inside Steam) and then reinstall it.

As do I same issue applying latest patch....normally do the above beforehand decided to give it a whirl. Make sure to delete the contents of your documents/mygames/skyrim folder and back up the saves folder if you wish to keep it.
