An interesting comparison between the way Oblivion handles q

I love Skyrim, more so than Oblivion, but I have to agree. [removed]

There were just to many dungeon crawls in the game.

Morrowind: You're the reincarnation of an ancient Chimer hero, so go become a Blade and meet a Demigod and collect ancient super-powerful Dwemer artifacts to defeat an ancient evil being, but WAIT he's actually the only one who supported you long ago and was your truest friend in a past life!
Skyrim: You're the reincarnation of an ancient Draugr Deathlord, so go become a Blade and kill a Dragon and collect another set of Ancient Nord weapons to toss away because they svck, then go kill a dragon who is just evil anyway.

Unfortunately, this is true. To some extent.
Oblivion's quests are superior to Skyrim's, IMO. Some excellent writing went into them. Skyrim has a few examples that really shine, but not as many as Oblivion.

Lolwut? Hardly any of that occurs in Skyrim's main questline.

I think that the map marker removes any sort of possibility for interesting, engaging quests. Even the deeper quests in Oblivion could be solved by simply following the map marker.

There's a big difference in immersion between following some cryptic directions to uncover a lost tomb, versus uncovering a lost tomb because of some magic GPS in your character's head.

I was doing how Skyrim would've done Morrowind's main questline. And I'm joking. :P

I pray to Stendarr that Bethesda gives us the option to toggle off the quest marker. Although unlike Morrowind, there aren't good enough directions to get you there so you would have to keep looking at the map.

We need some Draugr Dragons.

Make it happen, Bethesda.

And didn't you also have to pay the "blood price" if you did? Or am I remembering incorrectly, which is totally possible.
