I'm very new to mods for PC, so I decided to download a few for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat recently and only got 2 to work, one made the hud more minimalistic and the other added an MP7 into the game, all of the others I tried make the game crash when I start a new game. Since I couldn't figure out what I messed up I uninstalled the game and re-installed which removed the files that made the game crash thankfully, so now I'm trying to get them to work properly. The two in particular that I would like to work are called "atmosFear" and "realistic weapons" (the former add more realistic weather effects, the latter makes guns sound more realistic, or so I'm lead to believe).

If anyone has experience with mods I would appreciate some advice since the readme's that came with the mods didn't provide very detailed step by step tutorials that any one could comprehend (I told you I'm new to this). I can go into more detail if neccesary.
