For anyone that doesn't know, the game of thrones board game is a turn based strategy game for 3 to 6 players. The objective is to have the most castles and strongholds by the end of round 10, or to gain control of 7 of them at any point during the game. Building armies, giving hidden orders, trusting people to keep their promise, backstabbing eachother are all part of the game. No dice-rolls are included in the combat, it's very much based on strategy of who wins the combat. Hi everyone! I recently purchased the game of thrones board game. I haven't been able to find an answer to my question about ship vs ship combat anywhere and decided to turn to these forums, which more often than not, knows the answer to every question.
My question is this: Can ships fight eachother? The simple march order is enough to do so? Can a ship in a port attack a ship in the same sea-area? Can a ship in a port attack a ship in a sea-area next to its own sea area? Will a regular house-card be used in these kinds of combat?
Edit: Also, does a ship in a port count towards a land-areas unit-size, meaning it could possible make it an army and thus require more barrels? In addition, does the ships in a port follow the same orders as the troops in a land-area, or must the player give two separate orders for the ships and the troops of that place?
Cheers!
