Map Settings?

Post » Tue Jul 31, 2012 9:37 am

Hey All,

I have been playing Skyrim on XBox 360 since launch, although not often due to a new baby at home. In any case, I was wondering if there was a setting to make the Map screen a bit more useful. I always used the Map in Oblivion to find my way places as I could see where the roads were and plan my route accordingly. But in Skyrim, all of the clouds block the roads from view and it makes it hard to find my way. I hate spending half an hour trying to find a way through some steep mountains only to find that there is no passthrough nearby. Eventually I give up trying and have to fast travel. Of course this is impossible when I need to go somewhere I haven't discovered yet.

Any advice for me?

Also iPad apps - if that's an option...there's one free app that at least shows paths...mind I have it & I still stumble around blindly - I like a challenge

Well, I could just use an interactive map online on my laptop while I play, but I was hoping for a way to change the built-in map. As for your suggestion iZsoul, I am not sure how this could be applied to XBox users. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

I think he just means you can click on the image to expand/view it.

No way to change the map for Xbox users, DJ. What you see is what you get.

That's what I figured. Oh well, I'll just start keeping my laptop out when I am navigating.
Thanks~
