My Argonian Traveller

Post » Tue Jul 31, 2012 9:22 am

So, after an incredibly amount of difficulty (more than you'd ever believe), I have finally found a build which excites me enough to warrant yet another playthrough of possibly my favourite game of all time, Skyrim. Since I have played through this game countless times, but always played it safe so to speak, I am going to head right out of my comfort zone and try things I usually never do. Firstly, I decided upon an Argonian which is in stark contrast to the human races I usually play as.

Next, I am thinking of two-handed weaponry, or dual-daggers should it prove more appropriate for Argonian lore (tell me in a post in this thread, please), and combining this with Smithing and Alchemy along with Light Armor (stupid American/Skyrim spelling). As for role-playing, which is something I actually want to do with this guy to become more attached to him as a character and have continued interest in him, I want him to be a loner (likely named after myself as I do with all my Skyrim characters) who has wondered Tamriel after the death of his parents. He has lived in the wilds, unwelcome amongst many elven and human occupied cities, and has become really good at alchemy because of this. Now, he heads to Skyrim to make a home for himself and earn a living at the Smithing art.

I am editing the opening post, as I want to alter it a bit to incorporate yet another skill I have never used within Skyrim before, so please hang on and feel free to still respond to any of these questions I have.
  • From a lore standpoint, would an Argonian favour two-handed weaponry or dual-daggers?
  • What are some good ways to level up my alchemy, make it useful and what potions can I make using it?

I am done editing my OP. I am going to use alchemy for various poisons and potions, as I would like to try and avoid magic (even restoration) if at all possible. I want him to earn his money from Smithing also. What is more lore accurate, dual-daggers or two-handed?

My Argonian seems similar to yours, and uses dual daggers and wanders mainly by moonlight. I named his Basks-In-The-Moon.

I am going to two-handed instead though, but cool. You like him?

Yeah, the dual daggers really seem to fit him well, and the nighttime RPing is sweet.

Well, I am going with two-handed as I said, and certainly not night-time role-playing. But, still, nice to hear!
