Draugr overpowered

Post » Tue Jul 31, 2012 2:39 am

Does anyone else feel like the draugr have just a tad bit WAY TOO MUCH [censored] HEALTH
It's become a [censored] chore to kill them, it wouldn't really be a problem if I didn't have to tell lydia to wait at home so she doesn't get killed by them every time i go into a nordic tomb
Dragon priests are more exciting then the "super ultra mega-death overlord" draugr that just stand there and smack you with their ebony swords... there is no reason for them to have the amount of health that they do considering they spawn in mass quantities like they do.
It's funny how at level 80 they get replaced with dragon priests that have not even half their health.

What weapons are you using. Draugr don't like fire.

Well for my warrior the don't have enough health, for my mage they have the right amount and for my non stealth archer they have too much.

It all depends how your combat style I think.

Adept
me too and with my argonian with unimproved, dual ebony swords with EF shout i have no problem with them, with exception of when a dozen or so of them are coming at me.
Spoiler
like at the fire breath wall during a retrieve the fragments of wuuthraad quest whilst level 54. ALL of them were deathlords.

I always kicked them around with an axe and shield. Sometimes they could be tough, but by level 46 Ulfang the Axe crushed Draugr, saw them driven before...aw, you know the rest.

I'm playing with a nord hero sword at 50 damage and I have no complains about deathlords. on expert.
If there's anything I'd call OP would be the forsworn briarheart bosses but those are not common so no prob.

Fight against Dead Overlord is so boring, beacuse of their mass hp,you just start repeating attacks, clicking and cliking without any affect on them :/

Their boring to fight but not really hard. Stagger them or dance around them, make sure to use shouts.

It is rather annoying when they Fus Ro Dah you into a ragdoll for a few seconds, though.

The issue isn't so much with the Draugr as it is with Smithing. You make special mention that you aren't using improved weapons, which is just an example of a problem I have with Skyrim, in that the Game is obviously assuming the players are utilizing their smithing feature for upgrades.

Yeah i wish higher leveled enemies just didn't have more hp but better techniques, moves and AI.
