So I've had my Asus G73jh laptop for a little more than a year now, and the sound jack was working perfectly up until a few weeks ago. Now whenever I plug in my headphones, the computer doesn't register that anything is plugged in. The even wierder thing is that I'm getting sound from both the laptop speakers and the headphones as well! (So it's communicating somehow with the the laptop but it's not registering that I have something plugged in to the audio jack....wtf?)

How can I fix this?? Any advice is appreciated.
