Bear(?) with me here. I have a few questions for you guys and gals out there regarding those pointy sticks. This Is probably new to many, but spears were in morrowind! If Bethesda is willing to put spears into skyrim ala dlc (I'm betting they will) would you rather spears be similar to morrowind (many different varieties, ebony, daedric, etc) or an approach similar to how dawnguard made crossbows limited in variety but feeling unique? Or perhaps the Souls way( both demon and dark variety) where spears did not necessarily increase in strength by material type, but where they were unique and some were big and some were small. Some were heavy and cumbersome others light and speedy?

Tldr: should spears be like other weapons and increase by material type (lots of aesthetic variety, not too different from other weapons), should they have little material variety but come across different in use than other weapon types, or should they each have a unique feel to them but not differ wildly in application? What would you most enjoy having spears as?

I want horse armor, spears, and werebears.

I think spears would be a cool addition to the game, and I would want a lot variety. That doesn't mean however that I wouldn't want a few that felt unique and epic though. You know what weapon would be awesome, especially with mounted combat? Flails!!!

I don't see why they couldn't add it. Watch one of the gamejam videos. a guy added it on the skyrim engine. there isnt limitations to implement that. i would link but i cant find it.

Spears would be pretty pimp. Then I could play an awesome Roman legionary.

Launching spears from horseback sounds fun if we can get first person on a horse.

In all seriousness though I want werebears and spears would be a welcome weapon type .

I want spears more ever since I made a spear using assassin in Morrowind.

I'd love that, also lances for horse back would be cool, but I want short spears, long spears and throwing ones, the throwing ones more javelin shaped, but seriously would love werelions, bears and crocs, with the crocs could pretend I'm Steve Irwin if I came across a group in the wild. Someone should make a Steve mod :/ he was cool
