glitchbug help

Post » Thu Aug 02, 2012 6:01 am

after I deleted my skyrim system data and the patch(to fix the water bug) my game Freezes more and is often very laggy to the point where it takes several minutes when doing things it used to do instantly for ex. some spells will lag the game and take or freeze it now. I deleted the system data and reinstalled it several times and it doesn't help, any one know what to do or will I just have to wait for a patch and hope for a fix?

Have you tried loading different saves to see if they all lag?

May be worth following the installation guide for patch 1.04 on making a fresh savepoint and restarting the system to allow the game to properly capture the save.

Still sounds like a bad game install or it's handling your savedata poorly for some reason, I'd do the uninstall routine again, load a savegame but don't do anything, save this save into a fresh manual slot. Exit the game and restart the console, load the game and new save point then see how it plays.

I know this svcks but have you tried cleaaring up some space on your drive?
I agree with Prowler the delete reinstall thing frequently fixes early game lag. How big is the save file you are working with? I know you are also working with a new character but if the install is sloppy, which is what it sounds like, the problem will continue.

Have you tried loading another game to wipe the RAM of all Skyrim data? For some reason the code doesn't do that on it's own.

By sloppy I mean the game code...
