One good thing from SWTOR . . .

I have been recently playing SWTOR, and I've been really enjoying. It is is similar to WOW I know, and I know a lot of people dislike it. But something I think is really good about it is the intro to the storyline and the game.

Lots of MMOs have different intros for storylines, but SWTOR goes one step further and gives every class their own unique introduction to the game and the world around them. While people criticise SWTOR's endgame, it beginning is nicely done, and actually quite immersive for an MMO.

The Secret world is similar, with the really clever story introductions, but lacking in scope compared to SWTOR's.

While I want TESO to be original, or bring the classic nostalgic feel that a lot of people miss from old school MMOs, I really hope that it uses SWTOR's sense of a strong Narrative introduction, at best it would be fantastic, and at worse it wouldn't do any damage, anyone else?

I agree but as a MMO player who plays more for the MMO aspects I just wish SWTOR would have spent even half as much time and resources on End Game aspects as they did on the Story stuff. If they did that I 100% guarantee SWTOR would have been a blockbuster hit and indeed a "WoW killer".

So hopefully ZOS learns from this and doesn't put all its eggs into one basket so to speak. If the RvR is going to be the big draw for this game, yes of course do it well, but just don't neglect the other very important aspects of MMO's.

Likely they will incorporate RvR into the other MMO aspects. High level raid targets will be in the Imperial City, which you need to take to access, for example. Crafting will most definitely be useful in sieges, and the PvP progression is obvious.
