Who's Your Deity??

Have you ever wanted to roleplay as a Daedra worshipper in Skyrim? Do the Daedric rewards not fit your characters play-style or seem useless due to certain limitations?

Well then this is the mod for you. Upon completion of the various Daedra quests the player the player is given the choice to attain a special, permanent, blessing that is unique and lore-friendly.

Concept

I am placing activators at daedra shrines. If the deity lacks a shrine or the shrine is in a location that is inaccesible upon completion of the quest, then I will place the ahttp://www.gamesas.com/index.php?ctivator in another lore friendly location. These activators are there whether you have completed the quest or not, but the option to recieve the blessing and accept the Daedric prince as your deity is hidden until prerequisites are met.

Earning the right to serve

However, players should be warned simply completing the task given to you may not be enough to appease your new deity. Earning the favor of Azura might not be too difficult as she is much more benevolent towards her followers. But earning the right to serve Mehrunes Dagon will require much more sacrifice.

I see this type of game-play being very similar to the "Demon Doors" quests from the Fable games. Some are straightforward and thus have lesser reward, some are much more difficult but well worth the effort.

Balance
To ensure balance and make it even more roleplay/lore friendly; the player may only have one deity at a time. At this time I don't have any sort limitation on how many times you are allowed to switch deities.

So far I have fully implemented the following:

Azura - A conditonal activator that ensures the player completed the quest in the appropriate way. (Avoiding spoilers anyone who has played the quest will know what I am talking about). It is found at the Shrine of Azura. The perk awarded to the player right now is just a +15 damage increase against Vampires. But I am looking into ways to implement a sizeable damage increase between the hours of 5-8AM and PM.

In progress:

Boethia
Clavicus Vile
Hermaeus Mora
Hircine
Sheogorath
Malacath
Mehrunes Dagon- You earn the right to serve Mehrunes Dagon after you have completed his quest and killed 5 guards.
Mephala
Meridia
Molag Bal
Namira
Nocturnal
Peryite
Sanguine
Vaermina

Other Ideas
Don't count on these to happen, I am still working on my main project which has a lot more work put into it than this will ever have.

Depending on my scripting abilities I would like to advance the roleplaying possibilties of being a daedric servant. One such example is upon completion of the Azura quest I repopulate the shrine with new servants. There are numerous possibilities but I simply don't know if such things are possible without heavy scripting, using lots of aliases, and having to implement things that I am just not capable of at this time.

Most of the scripting and groundwork for this mod is relatively simple. The most difficult part is actually figuring out the concept and implementation of unique and useful perks/rewards. All in all, I expect to be able to complete this mod by tomorrow!

If you have any suggestions for how to improve this mod or have ideas for prerequisites or rewards let me know!

One thing I'd throw in is a suggestion to have the blessings scale with your level, or with the amount of service you've performed in the prince's name. A +15 damage bonus is minor to an endgame character, but makes a world of difference to a level 5.

Sithis isn't a daedra. It isn't even sentient.

I'll adress a few things.

1. Depending on the perk/blessing I might have it scale. It wouldn't be too difficult. My goal is to have perks that aren't just mild stat increases, but rather very powerful and highly condtional. Meaning they are only useful against certain enemies, at certain times, for certain players even. Also, I thought of another way where I could balance out giving more powerful blessings. I would simply have a perk/blessing that is negative towards one aspect of play while heavily buffing a seperate aspect.

2. No Sithis. He's already tied into the DB.

3. For now I think I'm going to keep the blessings pretty simple, ie. mostly statistical boosts or a lesser power. Then when suggestions come up or I have better, more complex ideas i can implement them one by one.

And for further enlightment for you dead pink horsey....straight from the TES wiki
Sithis (also known as http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Padomay) is a deity, representative of emptiness and the void. He is worshiped by the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Brotherhood.

Azura is fully implemented and (hopefully) functional. Once the player completes Azura's quest they are given a +25% damage increase in between the hours of 5-8 and 17-20. Azura is the daedric prince of dawn and dusk so her worshippers are more powerful at these times.

Up next is Boethia.

Elder Scrolls Wikia is literally the worst place for TES lore there is. Sithis is an interpretaiton of Padhome, not a sentient deity.

Actually, the title is about deities. The word "daedra" seems to be thrown around a lot in the description ;)
