A bug list

Today I popped Skyrim in and these are the things I noted:

1. Hotkeys/Favorites
I have two identical ebony war axes. I try to equip them from the favorites menu and sometimes they 'unfavorite' themselves. When I assign them to hotkeys they either unfavorite themselves or they fail to equip.

2. Autosave on menu
This is not supposed to be a blocking operation, right? My game pauses every time I open that godforsaken menu during the autosave. Sometimes these autosaves take > 30s which is kind of annoying.

3. Button events are missed - R1, X and R2 most notablely are often just ignored by Skyrim.

4. The framerate is deplorable in many areas. Especially when fighting any spell casters. It's like the player and NPCs are suspended in gelatin or something.

5. Japhet's folly - the explosion sounds crackle and pop. Not in a good way, but like clipped audio.

6. Clean up is not done. Ulfric is laying at the feet of the current Jarl, despite getting waxed like a month ago in game time.

7. NPC schedules are completely screwed up. Some shops refuse to open, some shops never close.

8. NPC talk to me in their sleep.

9. Nothing is respawning, I can practically walk from Solitude to Riften without any encounters.

10. Nirnroot glow stacking
(yes I know this is purportedly fixed x2.5 months for other systems and we are supposedly goign to get the fix but until I do, its a bug.)

I sent bethesda technical support an email about the dual wielding, within a month of getting skyrim. I was so hyped about dual wielding orcish maces. They responded with a simple F-you. I to have every single one of those issues, but i highly doubt they'll ever fix any of those.

Here's the email i sent them.

To whom it may concern. Let me start off by saying that i am definitely loving Skyrim. Everything from the simplified crafting to the polished fighting mechanics. Other than the minor glitch here and there the game runs pretty smooth overall That being said there is one major glitch that i just discovered that really got to me. I know you guys are already working on a patch already but to my understanding you are just working on the graphical issues My problem is more of a technical one. Here it goes. I cant favorite two of the exact same weapons. Well to be precise i can, if i equip them right after but the problem arises when i switch weapon like say a double handed one I am left with only one mace on the favorites list Leaving me having to go back to my items menu to favorite my identical mace once again So what was the point of me favoriteing the other one in the begging This glitch really bugs me because my character is a warrior type and i like to dual wield orcish maces Bethesda please throw me a bone and help me bash double the skulls I mean why even add the dual wield option in the first place if they cant even be the same weapon and please dont tell me to just go to the items menu because you know nobody likes to do that.
In best regards to that new patchJ
ohn

Here....is their brief and disdainful response.

Hello Jonathan,
Thank you for contacting gamesas Support. We are sorry but only being able to favorite one of the same weapon and not two identical weapons is the game working as intended. This is not a glitch in the game

12 and 13 aren't bugs. Just how they were programmed. And I am experiencing none of those bugs on my copy, not sure about the nirnroot things, I don't ever collect them.

Actually, you can do this. It takes about 30 minutes of fighting with the game, but if you want to equip two identical weapons, it is possible. What I've done in the past is favorite one weapon, equip the other, and improve one of them via smithing. Then improve the other one.

They should then be separated, and can both be equipped and favorited at the same time.

There's also a chance of it working if you fumble with the controls, continuously favoriting and equipping, until the game is smart enough to permanently separate the two (that's the one that takes 30 minutes)

At least these two things have worked in my experience, though not ever as quickly as I'd like.
