Okay guys, so I know alot of people are butthurt because Carmack didn't mention showing Doom4.
However, that's not his job, and he's not supposed to talk about anything in his Keynote other than the tech he's been working with

So basically just wanted to say that I've been watching QuakeCon, and just a bit ago there was a group of guys giving their own presentation, and at the end the briefly mentioned that id was gonna show off a secret project they've been working on.

Secret project? Would could it be? My bet says it's Doom4

Hmm.....as I remember C said that "they are still not ready to talk about doom 4" .....but even if it's Rage's new content then I wouldn't mind at all

Besides the majority of ID Software working on Doom 4. @ id.dav, agreed! I kind of hope/wish someone is working on RAGE dlc....

Hard to say if it is Doom 4 or not. There were people at id pushing for a remake of the original Quake with all the monsters which I would personally love. They've also been hiring people for a next generation console game advertising that experience with Dx 11 is a "plus" which seems strange since the id tech 5 doesn't support Dx 11 and Carmack said he wasn't interested in "bolting" it on after the fact. So it seems they may have already decided to start work on a game to be released after Doom 4 and the announcement could be just whatever game they intend to produce after Doom 4.

Yeah I don't think it's DOOM4 because it isn't a secret project, everyone knows they're working on DOOM4.
