I'm not very big on forums.
Okay, here's the thing: I want to make a video game. I want people to play it, and more so I want people to enjoy it.
Now here's the problem: I don't know sh.. er crap about coding, or modeling, or any of that.
I AM NOT USELESS, however, so keep reading on.
I can draw, pretty well in fact, and I can write damn good if I say so myself. I've also been making notes for a pen-and paper Skyrim RPG for me and my friends to play.
So basically, if you've read this far, I need your help. I need people to, quite honestly, make a game for me.
No, make a game with me. I'm a fantastic director, it's just something that I do, and I'm easy to work with if you can accept that I'm a raving lunatic.
Here's what I have in mind: 2D, birds eye (you know-- Zelda style) RPG, or possibly ARPG (maybe!) gameplay with strong Skyrim themes, but perhaps not Skyrim. If one of the admins sees this and is all like "Hey [censored], don't use our copyright stuff, we can't just give you the rights because they're all owned by our parent company and stuff, and it would be a long and complicated process," fret not! I have an ip that borrows elements from the Elder Scrolls (and I suppose all Tolkienian mythology) that is 100% copyright free!
I am willing to change all sorts of aspects of the game I have in mind, except for one primary tenant: this game, when released, will be free to play. This doesn't necessarily mean that it won't benefit you at all, just that you won't make money from the game. Sorry. Unless it goes XBLA. Then I will be forced to charge money. Just like Newgrounds did. You know who you are, Tom Fulp.
Anyway, If you're all the way down here, that means you know what the stakes are. If you're still in, if you're still an ES fan that doesn't want to make a game that ends up sounding like a dumb fanfic, then here's my contact information:

Please, consider it. I have a bunch of gameplay mechanic still in my head that's been translated to paper, and if you still don't know what game it's going to be like, just think Chrono Trigger. And while I'm not against 16 bit SNES graphics, I would definitely prefer a wonderful, hand-drawn world, that feels like a painter made you a video game. Like Bastion.
Oh, and I would prefer the least possible amount of negative feedback. Keep it constructive.
