I wanted to try out the HD Texture pack, but when I saw the size of it I stopped the download. I pay $50 per 3gb bandwidth, and that DLC will cost every cent of that, so I simply cannot justify the download. That's fine. However Steam refuses to let me play unless I download it, and all attempts to launch the game in any other way are met with failure. I've been contacting Steam support for several weeks now, hoping they'll remove this DLC from my list of available addons, but so far they haven't even acknowledged my ticket. I also opened a ticket with Bethesda support but have also received no word from them.
I've tried launching from SKSE with the NMM open. I've tried deleting the .esp files and the BSA files. Nothing. I've tried everything - even uninstalled Skyrim and Steam, then reinstalled them with the exact same issue. I lack the required DLC.
Does anyone here know if there is in fact a workaround for this? I have heard other people have had the same issue but can't find if they found a solution or not.
Thanks in advance.
