Graffiti Stencils

Post » Mon Aug 06, 2012 12:18 pm

I made a stencil on lining paper which i have cut out and plan on sticking to the wall and spraying, i then wish to remove the stencil with no stains left behind, the stencil itself is quite large, there are 3 separate pieces of paper in all and each are around the size of half a room wall (im REALLY not good with maths or measurement xD) and the stencil is quite complicated (i am however good at art luckily enough :3) so what would you guys suggest i use to stick the stencil to wall with enough strength so it doesn't fall of during spraying but also comes of easily enough without leaving behind stains of adhesive or whatever on the wall... any help?

It needs to be some sort of adhesive to keep all the complicated loose bits against the wall, otherwise there will be square bits from the tape all around the finished thing..

Painters tape will leave the least amount of mess. Could be a problem for the more complicated elements. You could pick up some repositionable (as opposed to permanent) adhesive spray, which should allow you to remove the stencil after you're done without too much stickiness left on the wall. 3M and Krylon should both offer something that would work.

You roll the tape unto itself and stick it to the back of the paper. It leaves no stickyness on the wall once removed. But if you don't think that's what you wanna do then get a [censored]in glue stick and a razor blade.
