All I've seen is how the game plays out, nothing about there being any character interaction or story in-game being told by a character.
Hm.. Maybe I have missed some news if yes, could anyone point me in the right direction?

This game look so stunning and original!

Then you have missed out on a lot. There are a lot of videos and articles that have parts talking about the story and the character interaction.

To sum it up: You build chaos by killing and who you kill is very relevant to the endgame. You have dialogue options just like the ones in Skyrim. A lot of characters will tell you about the world and the people in it, especially your targets. There are a lot of items that reveal more lore about the world and the characters.

Oh boy. Yeah there's a lot out there. The VA announcement below (think it's still on this page) has a link to a video that I think provides a good sampling of how characters interact with you or ostensibly it does. Might be spoilery---I have a skewed perspective on that issue. There's a preview coming out tomorrow from Game Informer that's six pages that talks about the game's opening hours. Otherwise, it's really a matter of doing a little digging (I'll try to help with that by combing through links I've saved, see if I can save you some time) for articles that cover the gamut. The game is mission-based and three missions have been covered in great detail. You'll learn a lot of incidental information from those previews about how the story is relayed. The latest batch of previews, as long as you're not shy about learning particulars for a mission, are good in detailing interactions with people.

Other than that, Strife is spot on as is his way :)

Edit: GI is digital only on the 7th and you need a subscription. Sorry I didn't remember that at the outset.

Does that mean you won't be able to view it?
