What do you think if there was a dishonored comic?

I am curious...since there are comics of videogames popping up now.

realizing I spelled dishonored wrong...*screams at the sky while it is raining*

I really don't want them to push anything. Comic book writing isn't simple and there really isn't anything to add but a prequel to Corvo's story and maybe his travels. I want web comics!

Eh, I feel it is unnecessary and probably wouldn't turn out well at all. Sorry to be so blunt.

Some interstitial tales of how Dunwall came to be the center of power, watching people observe rites and holidays in the Abbey which probably does more than hate the Outsider...I know that sounds more like a comic Silmarillion (sp for Lord of Rings historical epic---probably wrong) but there's stuff that might not fit in the game that could fill in a comic with the right context. I'm game if they can work it right.

The problem is those things might already be added into the game as lore documents and items.

Or they might not. They literally have a whole new universe to explore, and all of it is up for grabs.

Its difficult because Corvo is a silent protagonist and putting him in comic form where there are internal monologues and speech bubbles there to explain the action, you risk giving away too much about a character. Corvo's internal monologue in the game is almost your thoughts since he's pretty much a blank canvas that you can paint actions, morals, principles and so on.

I didn't even think of that, but that's why I think the silent protagonist route was the way to go. No canon choices or past actions that you contradict by either being a mass murdering loony tune or a choir boy. Logic would dictate Corvo was neither in the past, did what he had to do but there's a minimum of that background to clash with. The introduction in Dishonored will be enough to establish who he was beforehand. A comic could threaten that.

I'm of a mixed mind now. Cashews primarily.

It won't be about Corvo.

I was thinking about the lore and the world. I mean their whales look different so maybe other things do too.

There are probably a lot of different things within the world and they can create a lot of rich and exciting stories.
