Any one else disappointed with The Sliver Hand?

Post » Sat Aug 11, 2012 1:05 am

When i first started Skyrim and i heard of the sliver hand at first i thought It was going to be a whole Organized guild but once i saw them they just looked like bandits with sliver weapons.Thats another thing, they only have two sliver weapons ,a sliver sword and a sliver great sword?? what Happened to war hammers and axes??Same could be said with The Dawnguard, only a war axe and a war hammer??Another reason it the sliver Hand armor.I thought they would have armor that takes less damage from werewolves or something??But instead its fur armor or hide armor-_-

Yeah, the Silver Hand, and the entire Companions questline in general is very weak. I didn't care when
Spoiler
Kodlak died.
I didn't feel any anger towards the Silver Hand. Half the quests were "lets go kill silver hand because".

All of the major quests were weak, but the Companions in particular svcked eggs. It's especially egregious in heindsight, since the first DLC can be about hunting Vampires, but you're railroaded into fighting the Werewolf hunters.

yea shouldve done it like oblivion some what
for example you can choose to go with silver blood guild or campions guild
put a story between them as why they are attacking each other
and make the silver bloods more organized but hey it was a rushed release so what do you expect lol thye said the game will have more background scenes not more indepth quest lol

Frankly, Oblivion released in 2006 and Fallout 3 in 2008, and many Beth promises has been proven false. So if after all they can't keep the release date, its not the user's responsibility. And the worse part is that they didn't fix problems related to this in the past 9 months, so I think we can say they don't give a damn about it.

The Silver Hand were probably just mean to be a jumped-up group of bandits. I don't think the game's release has anything to do with it, from the looks of their forts it seems as if they were always intended to be nothing but a bunch of self-righteous sadists.

It should've been a joinable faction.

I was hoping the Companions questline would involved destroying the Silver Hand. And you could join the Silver Hand and kill the Companions. (Not that I would choose the later)

I just saw them as guys that do stuff and are hostile to everyone. I didn't expect much from them.

Skyrim's factions were very disappointing in general... but yeah, I expected more from the Silver Hand. Making them so bandit-like seemed like a bit of a cop out to me to try and justify them not being joinable. From a roleplaying point of view, it would of made a lot more sense to give the player the option to side with the Silver Hand upon finding out The Companions' secret. Or vice-versa upon finding out that the Silver Hand walk a fine line morally.

The early announcing of the deadline (11-11-11) made me worry that some stuff might be sacrificed in this ES title, regrettably it was the guild quests

It would have made alot of sense if they had made the Silver Hand joinable. Even if the quest's for it ended up being more like the CW quests, meaning the same basic quests from opposite sides. From a RP standpoint it wouldn't be so bad, but from a purely play stand point ppl would have griped about it. Even the radiant quest's would have worked, instead of "go kill the Bandit" it's "go kill the werewolf".

Just like the CW I would have found RP reason's to do both sides.

Err... if you mean the war between mages guild and necromancers or Fighters guild and Blackwood company... you could not choose, which side to join.

The problem I had with Silver Hand is that they were represented as an evil faction. When you think about it, all they ever did was try to keep population safe from werewolves.

I thought they could have been fleshed out more and it would have been cool to see a new variety of equipment as with Dawnguard
