Smith talk

Post » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:53 pm

So im trying to find ways to Roleplay... and I REALLY like smithing. Problem is I feel weird smithing somthing and then selling it. I dont feel that the smiths are worthy of owning a dragonbone weapon i created. Besides My legendary dragonbone battleaxe is worth 18,000 coins... I wont even be able to sell it,

I wish i could have my own shop where people request certain items to be made.

Then don't make Dragonbone weapons to sell. Only make items you think merchants would normally be able to get their hands on.

Yeah, owning a shop would be awesome. Then I could assign Derkeethus to run it while I collect fat lootz.

I agree. There's a perk or two under the speech tree I think that raises all merchants gold. I think it only raises it up by like 1000 though. I could be wrong on that though.

Maybe deviate from being a smith a bit, and be a jewler. But not just any old jewler, a sneaky, cunning jewler! Travel the land with simple, yet finely-honed, equipment, searching far and wide for every gold and silver vein, and every precious stone, and once you feel your character truly has the skill for it, spelunk for Dwemer metal. Avoid combat as much as possible, focus on sneaking, speech, and misdirection (Illusion).

If needed, hire mercenaries.

With Investor perk, you have the option to invest 500 septims to merchants, while Master Trader actually adds 1000 septims to them generally.

If the OP is on PC, he should download a mod instead of these perks, there are several ones available.

Skyrim's system reqs are kinda low, even a better laptop could handle that. You should check http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1382904-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-skyrim-thread-60-w-hardware-guide/ topic for details, or visiting http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx page from laptop.

*Quick side note: you can sell very high value items for most, if not all, of their value if you sell them to someone you just trained from. This increases their available gold by however much you paid to train.
