Argonian + Anything that isn't a normal open-faced helm/hood = disappoint
(And also, for whatever reason the Shrouded Cowl too.)

I am sure it's a bug. Ever since I got Dawnguard, my Altmer when he wears the Theives hood (could be any hood, never tried anything but Thieves for now) goes bald as well.

I just want to know where Todd is so he can explain how awsome this feature is. LOL.

Same with Khajiit.

On the plus side you can equip another head piece once you've equipped the Shrouded Cowl, and the second head piece should show up.

Because Bethesda deciding removing those features from your head when wearing certain helmets was better then forbidding you from wearing the equipment like in Morrowind.

The latter makes more sense, or at least, a special helmet to go with the shape of the wearer's head...
That and the tail that clips through the Nightingale cape ._.
