The PS3 finally got the 1.7 patch yesterday, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that we finally got an update after waiting so long.
(Four months-April 5th) The mounted combat is really cool!....
But... nothing was fixed. I saw a list of what bugs/glitches were suppose to be fixed in this new update and from what I can see, not even half of the problems we are experiencing are on the list. It makes me wonder if they are really testing out the game for themselves or pick and choose which is easiest to fix? Ever since I updated my system, I have been experiencing nothing but major lag issues, continuous glitches, and random dead body spawns when I exit a building. Quest glitches were not even on the list and that is what a majority of us PS3 users are experiencing. I still have the quest related to joining the Thieves Guild when I already completed the main story line. I really don't appreciate how we have to put up with this poor service we are receiving. Why don't you listen to the problems we are actually having? I can't even walk around without lag hitting me in the face, especially during mounted combat. We really don't appreciate how we waited so long to finally receive an update, and only to see that nothing was really done. How is this update going to help us play Dawnguard as stated in the articles I've read directly quoted from you? The Bethesda Company?
From what I can see, we are going to have major problems from here on out. Dawnguard is a big file, and will clash with the new update we got.
I can tell you this, I will not be purchasing Dawnguard or any future games that you may create. I am not going to fork out $20 for Dawnguard, it simply isn't worth the price anymore after the horrible service we have been receiving. This has been going on since Oblivion was released on the PS3. Always getting second rate updates, no news, and long waiting periods for glitched/lagged patches that really don't fix anything.
Bethesda, you have lost yet another customer. I'm really disappointed.

I understand your frustration, but posting stuff like this will do nothing. I do actually feel sorry for PS3 players, and now your not getting Dawnguard for a few more months is plain disgusting.

You want to know why we don't get great service? Because Sony doesn't pay or have a partnership with Bethesda like M$ and Valve do. Maybe if Sony made us pay for PSN we might get better service.

This won't change anything. You are well aware this correct?

Thank you for understanding, but you never know. Its worth trying.
I love the PS3, its an excellent console. I've always been with PlayStation. But we often get neglected. Its quite sad.

I am aware, but I want to try at least. It never hurts to try you know? But I felt the need to put this out there, somehow, someway they might listen. I really hope so.

As a PS3 user, I can wait for Dawnguard for some time, though avoiding the spoilers about it on other sites is a little difficult when other platforms have already secured it. Here's to hoping that with the extra time, Bethesda can polish the expansion up, and work on other bugs for PS3 users in the mean time as well.

Waiting for DLC for FoNV took so long that I never bought them. I would have bought them all if I'd gotten them sooner, but no...

Sorry to hear that. ):
This is my first time experiencing such poor service. Before I played Skyrim, I played COD. As soon as the exclusive with XBox was over we immediately got it, and glitches/lags were fixed. But totally different story with Bethesda.

I would have thought after the disasters that were Oblivion GoTY and Fallout New Vegas on the PS3 that people would have known not to buy Bethesda games for that console...
