Probably a bad idea,but I'll try anyway.

From what I've read about patch 1.7,it lowers even more the game's graphics, adds fps problems while riding any horse and.. I actually dunno if it adds any new bugs/glitches. And it still doesn't fix almost any glitched quests.

Before patch 1.7's release,I was actually considering buying Dawnguard, once it came out. But,after reading that this patch ruins our already low graphics and brings 'brand new' fps drops,I just got to think how the game would get with Dawnguard.

But then,I realized the only things that got me interested in Dawnguard were new armors, weapons, spells and shouts. What if they released a fairly discounted DLC with all of the armors,weapons.. etc.. placed in some already existent vanilla location? I doubt that would trigger any further fps problems.

Regarding the new transformation and perk trees,I dunno, they might simply add them while being careful enough to avoid further screwing things up,otherwise they just don't put them at all.

It's still better than nothing, isn't it?

Do you think a DLC like that would mess things up anyway?

I'm talking about a solution to hypothetical problems Dawnguard would probably raise, that's why I posted this topic here.
