Possible to mod, number of skillups to gain a level?

I've seen several leveling mods, faster Skilliups and more perks but is it possible to change/set the number of Skillups required to gain a Character Levelup? Once you spend 100+ hours and hitting level 70+ the number of Skillups becomes quite huge, forcing us to change our playstyle to gain levels and perks.

If one wants to be a mage and basically have more than 20 perks, we are forced to train skills in weapons, smithing or whatever. This seems like it could be easily fixed and allow gamers to play as their chosen class for the whole game instead of being forced to Skillup in Nonclass skills.

Iirc, the factor seems to scale as we level, needing about 10 Skillups at low level to gain a PC Levelup and 30+ Skillups at PC level 70+. Is there a *setgs* command or would this take a full Rescripting of the Skill System (way out of my league to be sure)?

Thanks for any help.

Number of skill level-ups has nothing to do with it (not directly). It's experience points. And yes, it's moddable.

I believe this mod will let you do just that, plus a whole lot more: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1175

I'm glad you mentioned this, because I'm getting ready to start a new playthrough and I'm going to use this mod to customize my mage by limiting what skill levels count toward leveling, as I find it annoying that "sneaking" qualifies me to level. But I hadn't thought about running out of skills to continue leveling! I'll have to calculate that and make a progression, which again, pretty sure this mod allows.
