[CONSOLE SUGGESTION] Hotkeying items

Post » Mon Aug 13, 2012 11:57 am

Hello consolers ! Have you ever realized that when you are roaming the harsh lands of skyrim for adventure and loot, the left and right buttons on the D-Pad are absolutely useless ? How about suggesting an update to hotkey two sets of items on those buttons ?

For example, I am a thief and I often have to press favourites to change my bow to my daggers, however although it's already a shortcut, it still pauses the game and makes me lose valuable time ! If I hotkey my daggers to the right button of the D-Pad, I would just have to press it and bam ! Instant switch and I can slit the gullets of the enemies too close for my bow !

What do you think, is this idea worthwile ? If so, how can we attract Bethesda attention about this ? I mean it's not like those buttons are used for anything ! The only disadvantage will be that we can have 2 hotkeys only, but I mean it's better than nothing ! Give me your insight guys

Just realized this would be more appropriate in the general discussion section but still, tell me what you think !

I could never remember which item was hot keyed where back in Oblivion or fallout so I always ended up going to the inventory screen. And given the number of spells and abilities we have at hand. I prefer the quick menu, to the eight quickslots we were limited to in previous titles.

I don't believe D-Pad down does anything when your not scrolling through a menu so that open up five quickslot menus. And they could simply have the old eight quickslots like they did in fallout and oblivion but have the up slot reserved for the favorites menu.
