So I became the thane of Markarth and Argis the bulwark turns up as my housecarl. All was fine until I got irritated by the constant "I am your sword and your shield".
I took him up to the Throat of the World and shouted him off, ran down after him and battered him with me axe.
It was there, when I saw him dead in the snow that I had reload and give him his life back.
He's a damn piece of coding in a computer game, why do I care?!

Man I svck.

I hate it when innocent citizens die in dragon attacks. I always reload when my follower dies (except Lydia, since she is so annoying I'm just glad to get rid of her). When I have lost favorite followers and found them again, I sincerely wish I could give them a hug and tell them how happy I am to see them. I plan on joining the Legion with my new character, and I already hate the fact that I will have to

kill Ulfric, since he's one of my favorite characters.

Astrid gets killed by the Penitus Oculatus, I just wish there was somewhere to save her and I hate seeing her die when she finally learns to respect the Night Mother. She's one of my favorite characters in the db quest and it just svcks that she dies, even if she did try to kill me.

When Argis died I was like "man, he just wanted to lounge around the house and eat bread. Is that so wrong?"

Belethor, from Whiterun, is one guy I always hate to see killed. Not particularly attached to him, but he proves useful early on in the game. Other than that, never had any sad moments in Skyrim. But, in other video games, don't get me started...

I sometimes can't kill wolves or bears and use Kyne's peace. After using that shout and seing those animals when they are calm, it got more difficult to kill them. Especially wolves seem really innocent... Man I think I svck too

I hadn't even thought of doing that. Though I actually don't like the bears which because I play with headphones on and their roaring hurts my ears. AND I you get a good Fus Ro Dah on them and they fall or roll far enough, they seem to pop as they die.
I call it popping bears.
Gonna pop me a bear yo.

Depends. I *cough*accidently*cough* sacrificed my wife to Boethiah, but then I reloaded the save because I kind of liked my free mon- I mean, wife.

So I sacrificed Lydia instead. :D

I really care for some people in Skyrim, while others may fall death instantly and I wouldn't care.

What I hate the most is when you get to far in the main questline dragons attack constantly and kill everyone in sight. In my first playthrough, everytime I would visit for example Riverwood or Falkreath a dragon would swoop in and kill townspeople. Then I had to say "Well this just su*** b*lls!" and reload again. But because this happened to much, I wouldn't reload anymore after a while. So when you would visit Riverwood, Alvor would be dead and Embry, Gerdur, Hod and so on. So I would drag the bodies and push them in the river (still do that to most important NPC's), that way I sometimes forget that there gone and some towns are actually ghosttowns now.

Alvor's wife died from a dragon attack in one of my games. He wouldnt talk to me for a while after that. Was pretty sad.

Two Revered Dragons wiped out Riverwood on one of my characters. I was at the end of the execution line, and died fighting for people that hated me more than they hated the dragons.

Jes, and I thought I was the only one to get sensitive over a video game character! I never forget in a previous game having to sacrifice a trusting follower for some s*** piece of armor. I went to Windhelm, hired Stenvar and led him to the sacricial site. There he was helping out and then I had him dragged onto the post. He looked straight into my eyes with this friendly smile and I killed him. Never forget that smile. [censored]. Now I'm playing a serious well thought out character (a good guy) I'm determined to do Stenvar good in BIG ways.

I think getting sensitive over video games should be ok. It's pretty normal to get emotional over a movie or something and if anything a video game, especially Skyrim, is much more immersive and involving. We inevitably put something of ourselves into our characters, so a bit of human emotion should be normal.

I really don't like that quest though. It's really repugnant, and that's an understatement! It goes against everything I'm about as a person. It was really grating to the senses to do such a thing, even in a video game! I can't remember the quest exactly, but I believe it was called "Boethiah's Calling"?

Yep. I did it one time, with a character that I tried to play as an amoral person who would do anything, and I still hated it. Even joining the Dark Brotherhood wasn't as bad.

That's part of the reason I've gone for a good character (at the moment more Dirty Harry than King Arthur) this time. I don't mind turning on evil characters, but to gain the trust of a good character then do such a thing, I mean, I could NEVER do anything even close to such a thing!

The worst part of the Stormcloaks questline is ...
Spoiler
Fighting Jarl Balgruuf and having him removed from the throne.
It was one of the hardest things I've had to do! I felt like I was betraying him, after all he'd done for me in making me Thane.

All of Skyrim is a damn piece of coding. If you cannot get beyond that to a point where you care, then you should have no motivation to play the game.
The more you care the more you get out of it, I think.

I've gone to ridiculous lengths to keep people alive. I feel somehow responsible for most of the friendly NPCs. They wouldn't have to be going through all of this dragon stuff and having to recite their same lines over and over, if it wasn't for me. :P
I will also never go past a dead fox without using the resurrect command on it. Why, oh why do things always kill the innocent little foxes who hurt nobody!??? :swear:

I can't bring myself to steal from Farengar Secret-fire. I tried to take the soul gems from his desk, but ended up feeling guilty and put them back.
