hi to everyone...

sorry to bother you all with questions like this , but i have 2 choices .. 1)kill friend , 2)post his question.... i choose the second..... :/

brief : he was playing skyrim and suddenly the game crashed to desktop , giving him no error... just quitted to desktop , now he fear
that this kind of error has modified the .ini of the game (skyrim.ini , skyrimpref.ini) changing them to default or modified them in some way...

i have telled him that the ONLY way to modify this files is to go : 1) in the options at the skyrim starter , 2) in the options in the game.... and
that the game cannot modify them by itself....

the problem that he still believe that the game is no more "beautiful" cause the crash....

what can i do ??

sorry for the stupid question , but there are peoples who know 0,001% of computers and this friend of mine is one of them.....

A CTD will not alter the .ini file in any way. I don't know any way to prove this other than to look at the dates modified on the actual .ini files. If he still needs convincing, just tell him to verify the cache through Steam and that will generate the default .ini files.
