I've always wondered why in Skyrim and all Elder Scrolls games that there are so many female fighters and warriors. I'm not saying that no female is capable of the strength that it takes, but just that the sheer number of them there are is rather unrealistic. In general, a man is stronger and more capable then a female when it comes to being a fighter. It's not that I'm sixist or anything, but it's just the truth. Everywhere you go in the game, it's pretty much 50/50 whether it's Bandits or Soldiers or w/e and it just doesn't make sense to me. Especially in the general time period the game is set in.

Also, I understand the lore with the Orcs and how there females are on par or even superior in strength to the men but I'm mainly talking about the human races here.

Keep in mind, Skyrim is set in a fantasy world, not a real historical period. Different world, different rules.

This is all that needs to be said on the subject.

Because everything is bigger in Skyrim, Nord woman are strong and doesn't fraid of anything.

I know it may seem redundant but basically this. Plus I think its kind of cool that there are a lot female warriors.

Because even the weakest nord woman is still stronger than the strongest imperial.

In videogames, there isn't much of a gender gap as in real life.

Trying to equate fantasy races physique and standards with real life physique and standards.

Yep. Lots of strong nord women. Pity we don't really see any female legionaries. By all accounts they're gender-neutral but you only see three women in game, four if you count the daughter of Solitude's alchemist, who's only spoken of.

Really, when fighting the battle of whiterun for the stormcloaks, I could have sworn I came face to face with a female legionaire

Because good game design is more important than realistic sixual dimorphism.

There are tons of female warriors because in Skyrim men and women are equal, their culture is vastly different from our equivalent period in history where women were not much more then baby factories and homemakers.
I don't think its unrealistic to be honest.

Or if sixism was one of the themes of the game, it could be realistic in that sense.

I like the amount of nordic warrior women, they are sixy. Its good to see some strong women for once. I wish there were more nordic warrior women in real life

Even in ancient societies where men and women were almost equals, the warriors were mostly men, that's because men naturally have better muscle structure. There is no controversy about this, it is common knowledge.
