Is there a limit to "Fortify Barter" ?

Post » Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:34 am

I have made a "Fortify Barter 64%" potion using the "Restoration Glitch".

I made a necklace with "Prices 45% better" using a "Fortify Enchanting" potion made using the same glitch.

When I wear the necklace vendors charge me 157 Gold for an Ebony Ingot.

When I wear the necklace, and then drink the potion, and then open the dialogue to check the price, I find that the price is now .......... 157 Gold for an Ebony ingot ???

I recognise that there has to be a limit as I can only ever sell something for, at best, the same price as I can buy it (although this is some way from that as yet).

Am I missing something simple here or is there something strange going on ??

That sounds like a bug - like maybe it's rolled over. :S

I've never found a Fortify Barter enchant (Dawnguard?), but I use the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Masque_of_Clavicus_Vile, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Cicero%27s_Clothes#Cicero.27s_Clothes, and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Amulet_of_Zenithar#Amulet_of_Zenithar when I sell stuff from my Assassin Chick and I get like 83% of the value on the items' description cards. I've never done a buy calculation, but I assume it's the same. I haven't checked, but I suspect her Speech skill is 100 (no Perks).
