Will bethesda make a smithing DLC?

Post » Tue Aug 14, 2012 1:37 pm

I love smithing, and while i don't want this to be the main part of the DLC (because that would only cater to one playstyle) i would like for there to be an expansion on what you can make and improve.

I was extremely pleased to make Dragon bone weapons. But It would be nice to craft new styles of armor (Scaled horn armor, Ancient nord hero arrows, new content, horse armor, etc)

Any chances on this happening?

You dont need an entire DLC for that. Extra smithing items and gear can be added in later DLC's quiet easily. Fact is most people want DLC's to add to the game itself rather than just the mechanics. That is to say, people want stories and zones rather than a handful of items.

If we journey to Orsinium, I could see it happening. The Orsimer are Tamriel's finest blacksmiths. It would be a great way to introduce the polearms and flails of the GameJam presentation, and maybe some unarmed weapons. Orsinium would be a great way to implement an arena.

I heard they also have an arena... that would be greatly appreciated in a DLC

imo it's a little too late for item DLCs.
