PC: Can I make characters from different saves fight each ot

Post » Tue Aug 14, 2012 12:49 pm

Hello friends.

This may be a silly question, but is there any way to replicate or otherwise spawn in a player character from a different save on my hard drive - or to do something to the same effect - and have the character fight a copy of my current character?

I'm new to the PC scene and think it would be awesome to have my old but powerful xbox character fight my new, mod-influenced PC character.

Through any number of console commands, is this possible?

Thanks gents :)

You should be able to create a close approximation in the Creation Kit.

I've long thought this would be an excellent feature in the vanilla game. You make a character, then at level 40 you get the chance to save it in some kind of memory. The save file will contain all the character's dispositions, skills, traits etc. Then in a subsequent playthru with a different character, the saved character would be like a self made DLC, and depending on the new character's dispositions could either be an enemy or a friend.

I've made nine full playthrus already and I like to do different quests with each one to make them unique, so at times it seems like they are living in the same gameworld - this was especially so with my Argonian rogue and my Altmer mage. The mage thought Brand-shei was cute and did his favour, she also botched the MQ so he stayed out of jail. The rogue had him put away.

I have also dual roleplayed Jordis the Sword-Maiden and an Imperial battlemage, when it came to do the Jordis playthru I used Adelaisa Vendicci as my battlemage.

Next up in my dual roleplays is going to be Erik the Slayer and Marcurio

^This.

In Morrowind, I did a similar thing when I didn't want to do the MQ with one file. I took another character I had, remade him in the Construction Set, and made him a follower for my other character. It was pretty awesome; I'm sure the same could be done for Skyrim.
