[RELZ] Septim Minting

Post » Tue Aug 14, 2012 3:01 pm

DESCRIPTION:
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
A simple mod that adds a small quest to obtain a license to become an official minter of Septims. After receiving your license each gold ingot will create 100 Septims. It also works in reverse, and 100 Septims can be smelted down into gold ingots by anyone with the desire to do so (no license required to throw your money away this way, you just can't turn 'em back into spendable gold without one).

This mod also adds weight to the gold coins. Each coin weighs 0.01 so with 100 coins you've got a point of weight. I've also added a new coin type, Daedrims. This coin is worth ~100 Septims. The Daedrim weighs the same as a single gold coin, so this will help alleviate some of the weight concerns. You can craft 2 Daedrims by using an Ebony Ingot and a Gold Ingot at the forge if you're licensed for minting, or trade 100 Septims to Minas in Dragonreach for a single Daedrim. You can also trade 1 Daedrim for 100 Septims if you're worried about not getting full value at merchants.

To start the licensure quest, talk to Minas upstairs in Dragonreach.

Also, because there's no voice files in this mod, you may want to use Fuz Ro Do'h to keep the subtitles from flashing by before you can read them:

CHANGELOG:
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
V 1.5 - Added Daedrims to the game, complete with a custom dark re-texture (I'm no artist, I know).
Changed the name of "gold" to Septim. A small change I know, but it always bothered me...
Added the ability to have Minas change Septims into Daedrims and Daedrims into Septims.

V 1.4 - Added weight to gold coins. You can carry 100 coins before it adds 1 point to your weight total.

V 1.3 - Fixed a bug causing the quest not to update once you had the sword and the money. Now the quest updates once you get the sword, but if you don't have the money, Minas gives you a different response when you talk to him about turning it in.

V 1.2 - Removed Dawnguard dependency and removed the alternate recipe for making charcoal and steel ingots that shouldn't have been in this plug-in to begin with.

V 1.0 - Initial release.
