OK, since it looks like I'll be starting a new character now, as the only way to get proper patching, this is going to be a relevant issue again, and it would be nice to get it right.

With all my previous characters, I've gotten the White Phial, but with all my previous characters my White Phial quit refilling at some point. My first one never got more than one refill, since he threw away his empty phials. Subsequent characters have been smarter, but eventually, my phial quits refilling, sooner or later.

So, is there a strategy for actually keeping that phial refilling, without getting weighed down by several pounds worth of empty phials that I'm afraid to discard? I try folloing the advice I find in wikis, but sooner or later, the phial dies on me.

Any useful suggestions appreciated. Please leave out the Beth rants, ok? There's lots of threads for those.
