Alright, i think i got it, I stay far away from Aztec, and I’m guessing 3dsmax is the one commonly used by the members here? then i'll give it a shot  thank you
there's Autodesk 3ds Max and there's Autodesk 3ds Max Design, the later is meant for designing architecture, is that useful if i want to create buildings?

So I'm still learning to 3d model. I've used Blender and made some basic things and also managed to mess with some meshes and get it ingame that way. But I think the process for getting nifs into blender from skyrim is a bit more complicated. (You have to alter properties in nifskope or else it can't import.) There's not that extra step importing to 3ds max. (It's not a really big deal but if you don't know that can be extra frustrating.) Also, the nif plugins dont work for the latest blender so I needed 2 versions of blender just to get a nif ingame. Workable but annoying.

Download 3ds max 2012 (not 2013; plugins for importing nifs dont work for that version yet) from here with a student license: http://students.autodesk.com/
They also have a facebook app giving out licenses too. (I used it when the download page was down).

I'm not sure about buildings specifically but if you're interested in armor too...

If you need to learn modeling for skyrim specifically, this youtube user has about 50 videos (and adding) on how to use nifskope, 3dsmax 2012, and all the other little programs you need to get it there. In about 15 videos, he taught viewers how to set up all the programs you need, how to import nifs to 3ds max, how to alter a premade nif to a new body, test it and fix any errors, and have a final result. It's not buildings specifically, but it's a start if you want to get your feet wet I suppose.
It's the tutorial I always wished I had : http://www.youtube.com/user/NightasyTutorials

I'm sure you will. As long as you make something you're happy with, that's what counts.
I'm looking forward to the day I make something on my own and can feel completely satisfied with it.
Good luck!
