Is there a way to delete files better?

Post » Wed Aug 15, 2012 3:35 am

On my xbox my game gets glitchy if i have too many saves. So I would like to just delete an entire character but it will only let me delete one save file at a time. VERY annoying. Is there a way around this?

When I played Skyrim on the 360 I had saved 3 to 4 thousand times but only on 10 characters or so...meaning that I only had 10 different option when loading up a save, aside from the auto saves. Are you saying you have 916 different saves that can be loaded up?

I delete them as I go along, I never overwrite saves. I just keep adding new ones and when I hit thirty or so I delete most of them. I store different characters on the cloud, move them over when I want to use them.

Why have you kept so many?

Wow, that has got to be super confusing if you are looking to load up a previous point on a character. Try narrowing it down to just a few separate saves per character. Your xbox will love you for it. ;)

Yeah, just try deleting a few at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. Every time you load up the game you could delete 10 or so, etc

I generally have 4 or 5 characters, each with their own "sign on name". Mostly named after my dogs, well the "extra" ones anyway. When we first got the 360 I set up my husbands username and an x-box live username...so those plus one for me and 3 more named after the dogs. On each one the 1st save is at Helgen where Hadvar ask's "and who are you", the next tends to be soon as you get out of Helgen. As I play I let the auto-saves work, plus saves where I want them... then when I am done playing for the day, I will delete alot of the auto-saves. When a questline is done I go down to the last save, plus 3 in different spots, thier are generally only about 6 per character. ( plus the Hadvar one)

I never really had a lag problem that way, even when my husband was playing Mass Effect. His save files would get outragious though.
