A return to Skyrim

Post » Wed Aug 15, 2012 6:13 am

It's been a little over five months since I've played Skyrim. I enjoyed the game quite a bit but there were some major issues at the time that I played so I sold the game to a friend. I used to check this forum often to watch for patch releases and possible bug work arounds, the last patch I recall was supposed to fix the backwards flying dragons.

I want to start playing the game again but I have a few questions since I've been away. 5 months ago the ps3 version of the game was inferior, and that's the version that I had. Do both versions have the same performance now? I also heard from someone in a game store that the new dlc was messed up for xbox, is that true? I'm going to rebuy the game so help me make the right call, and I don't have a pc so please don't suggest that.

As always, there are still some bugs on all versions of the game. Though, some have been fixed, the game still has its bugs, but its Bethesda we're talking about here so, this is natural. I have the new Dawnguard DLC on Xbox and the game runs as perfect as it did before I got the DLC. Everyone's experience will always vary so one person will be lucky enough to have the perfect game and another will have a bug filled one. But I will say this, Dawnguard isn't "messed up" it has bugs though, just like the vanilla game.

Dawnguard is available for Xbox and PC, it is unknown when Dawnguard will release for PS3.

Thanks for the replies. I thought xbox would be the right choice but wanted to get a feel from the community. I'm guessing the more urgent quest bugs are fixed (civil war, a cornered rat) but I'll check Gstaff's posts for that.
